Apprenticeship: welcome

As a medium-sized and system-relevant Berlin-based company with more than 1,300 employees, dual vocational trainings (Apprenticeship) are particularly important to us. We want to promote them in the long run and play an active role in shaping them.

PIN Auszubildender für Fachkraft und Postdienstleistungen

Our training starts every year in September. Your journey to become a skilled worker usually takes 2 years. During this time, you will get to know all the stages that a letter goes through before it is held in the hands of our customers.

You will mainly work in delivery, but will also get to know other departments, such as sales, quality management and our large logistics department.

You are also welcome to join us as a part-time vocational trainee

Not interested in full-time training? That's not a problem for us! In certain cases, we also offer part-time training. You will then, for example, work 30 hours during the week and attend vocational school in the same full-time capacity as the other trainees.

Specialists for courier, express and postal services (m/f/d)

PIN's delivery staff are the heart of the company and an integral part of the Berlin cityscape. As a PIN postman, you will work one third of the time in the depot and two thirds of the time on your delivery tour. During your two-year traineeship you will learn everything you need to know about delivering letters. And there's more to it than you think.

First in the depot, then on the bike

You will spend a lot of time outside, quickly work on your own and have a lot of contact with different people. You will start the day together with your colleagues at the depot. The first thing you do there is to sort the shipments and get your bikes ready for the day on the road.

You will be out on the road for around 6 hours and deliver the items you have sorted to the customers. Later, you come back to the depot and finish your working day with your team.

You will benefit from an annually increasing training allowance:

1st year of training: 1,103

2nd year of training: 1,227 €

Our training manager

With her 27 years, Konstanze already embodies the essence of what a dedicated training manager at PIN AG is all about: humanity and genuine commitment. Konstanze is passionate about developing our young talent and providing them with the support they need to reach their full potential. Her authentic nature and ability to respond to individual needs create an inspiring learning environment in which apprentices not only acquire knowledge but also grow into self-confident personalities.

From temporary job to dream job

In 2022, Konstanze joined our recruitment team – initially as a student. But it soon became clear that this was not just a simple job for her, but the beginning of an exciting journey. With her motivational manner, she inspired people to become part of the special PIN community. True to her motto “Back to the Roots”, she took over as head of training at PIN AG on November 1, 2024.

In her current position, Konstanze is more than just a superior. She is a mentor, confidante and companion for her trainees. With over 6 training officers in various departments, she creates a network of support and trust.

Her strengths:

Individual support: Thanks to her educational background, she helps our trainees with questions, problems and special learning needs.

Knowledge transfer: Promotes the personal and professional development of apprentices with modern didactic learning approaches.

Innovative training concepts: Develops and continuously optimizes modern training approaches.

Personal responsibility: It motivates our apprentices to organize their own apprentice projects and supports them in exciting projects.

Communication interface: Acts as a link between our training officers and apprentices.

Project "Junior Depot".

Be a leader for a while!

As part of this trainee program, which takes place in the 2nd year of your training, you will independently take on leadership and planning tasks in a logistics depot together with the other trainees over a period of four weeks.

You will be assigned a weekly quota of deliveries. You will have to record these statistically, adjust the sorting shelves to the routes, plan the delivery with your colleagues and organize everything else involved in letter delivery.

Each week, one trainee takes over the leadership of the Junior Depot. Each of you will lead the team and perform similar tasks from the office. The aim is for you to try things out for yourselves, maybe find different solutions or even make other decisions than would otherwise be the case in everyday life.

The goal is for you to learn a lot about cooperation, statistics, scheduling and work organization.

But don't worry: your team members and your PIN buddy are always ready to answer any questions you may have.

Our application process

As a trainee at PIN AG, you will go through a three-stage application process.

1. Getting to know each other

We start by interviewing you on the phone. This gives us a first personal impression and allows us to answer all of your questions.

2. Trial day(s)

You will get to know your future team and your initial everyday tasks, giving you a realistic picture of the apprenticeship.

3. Confirmation and training contract

After successfully completing your trial days, you will receive a training offer from us and we will be pleased to receive your confirmation. Before you start your training at PIN AG, you will get to know our head office and your future training buddies as well as your training manager. But we don't want to give too much away, just this much: that you will have an exciting day together.
